Desire the Fire!

—General James Green—

TODAY’S BABYLONIAN institutional Church does “desire the fire” — strange fire, queer fire, but not the Luke 3:16 and 12:49 kind of fire.

“John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire” (Luke 3:16).

“I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?” (Luke 12:49).

Luke 3:16, no doubt, referred to Joel’s prophecy (2:28) and was reaffirmed after Christ’s resurrection in Lk. 24:49 “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” This baptism of “power” was accompanied with “tongues of fire.” But, the “tongues of fire” were merely the outward sign, the inward sign was to be the “desire for the fire,” e.g., to be cleansed from all sin(s) as we walk out, work out, our salvation. This “fire” and “power” is what is MISSING in today’s Babylonian Church.

Fire on Earth

JESUS WAS TO BAPTIZE His true followers with “fire” and at the same time, bring “fire” upon the earth (Lk. 12:49), sometimes interpreted as the “fire of the Day of Judgment” (Lk. 3:17), as the “fire of the Holy Spirit” in Acts 2:3, or as the purifying “fire of repentance” that will prepare the way for the Kingdom of God.

In light of vss. 51-53, it is evident that Luke thinks of it as the “fire of conflict” that will compel men to align themselves for or against the Messiah. The RSV reads, and is correctly punctuated: “I am come to cast fire upon the earth; and would that it were already kindled!”

Verse 49-53 is considered to contain three originally independent pieces of tradition: 1—a saying about fire; 2—the reference to Jesus’ approaching passion as a baptism; 3—a prediction of divisions, even within families. Not only are we to be filled with the Holy Ghost, but also to experience the “fires of persecution,” as first Peter 4:12 speaks of: “the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you.” Now, this aspect is what I want to write about. Why has the Church stopped preaching and teaching about the “Sword that Cuts” (separates families, etc.) and the “Fire that Burns” (burns for a desire to know and serve Jesus, to know God better; burns out fleshly impurities, pursuits, and more)?

Luke 12:51-53 = Matt. 10:34-36. Men and women find it un-Christian to split up families: WHY? Jesus did it—He was that SWORD that CUTS!He was that FIRE that BURNS.

The WAR Is ON!

THE “BAPTISM” JESUS spoke of (Lk. 12:50) was the “baptism of suffering and death,” something that today’s Church knows nothing about, nor wants to learn about. This verse asserts that His mission cannot be accomplished except by His death—“baptism” is also used in this sense in Mk. 10:38, 39. Most of the passages that represent Jesus as anticipating His death are clearly predictions after the event, some scholars say.

Today’s churchites (at the top of the list would be super narcissists Joel Osteen and wifey-poo, Victoria), who have been raised upon spiritual junk food, are not about to “desire the fire.” They are just TOO IN LOVE WITH THEMSELVES to share that love with Jesus. They are extremely happy in their “snuggie theology” whereby they are comfortable, happy, and healthy and wealthy (at least the preachers / teachers / theologians of such delusions). NO cross to carry, just a fine car to drive or a jet to fly. They tell us (in vain!) that “Jesus did it ALL and we don’t have to do anything except enjoy the good life.” Really? Just where in the Bible do we find such a theology? I thought we were to die to self?, carry our cross DAILY?, mortify self?, consecrate our selves?, separate ourselves from the sins of this world?, love not the world?

Are we disciples of Christ, or followers of CULT personalities? Are we on the straight and narrow way, or on the broad way? Since we cannot serve two masters (Mt. 6:24), which one do we love and which one do we despise? We must choose Christ or Satan, Heaven or Hell. And what about working out our own salvation with FEAR (reverence for Christ) and TREMBLING (Phil. 2:12)?

Hey, churchite, Biblical belief is more than something we confess with our mouths: “blab it, and grab it” bull; it’s something we confess and POSSESS with our lives.

Jesus the Revolutionary

JESUS DID NOT fellowship the “religious” of His day, NO! (read Matt. 23), He lived a consecrated, dedicated, and separated life unto God (He never partook of the sins of either the world, or the religious world). He loved the sinners without doing SIN with them. Unlike the ilk of today’s clergy who defile themselves daily and LOVE IT SO!!

He was that “Sword that Cuts, and the Fire that Burns”…He split families and He split nations. Paul writes: “There is neither Jew nor Greek (Jesus broke down the ethnic / racial wall), there is neither bond nor free (He broke down social walls), there is neither male nor female (He broke down sexual distinction)…” (Gal. 3:28). This was the work of Sword and Fire, dear ones. Where is the Sword and Fire today? Gone my friend, gone!

Get Out of the World

JESUS MADE THIS POSSIBLE by and through His death on the cross. Paul writes about the “mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ” (Eph. 3:9). In verse 4, he wrote, “…ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,” he continues in v. 5, “which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit”, he continues, “that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the Gospel” (v. 6). Paul was telling his readers that Christ came to save both Jews and Gentiles (i.e., all people of all nations in the promise of eternal life (see Rom. 16:25, 26; 2 Tim. 1:1). So Jesus, by and through His death, opened the WAY of escape from the world.

Now, since we’ve come out of the world and unto / into Him, there remains the “getting the world out of us!” This is the warfare I write of. And don’t even try to tell me “Jesus did it all, and we do nothing” bull.

The NT is a warfare manual…how to defeat the world, the flesh, and the devil…something that today’s ecclesiastical whorehouses never teach.

Bastards of Rebellion

SINCE GOD IS NOT today’s churchite’s Father, but mere men and women are, we have a whole new crop of bastards — who, instead of trying to get the world out of themselves and their churches, have brought it into their lives and churches. They have brought it in even “BIGGER and BETTER” than before.

Now she (the so-called Church) is a mixture of saved and unsaved (mostly UNsaved). She has grown comfortable; her “Reverends” are “Ravening Wolves” (Mt. 7:15), her “Clerical Elitists” are “Rebels with a Cause”— a cause TO DAMN THIS GENERATION OF GOATS, LAMBS, AND SHEEP!

Bring On the Fire!

UNLESS THE HOLY GHOST FIRE burns in the midst of what calls itself the Church, or the Body of Christ, then damnation and hellfire will BURN the so-called Church with unquenchable fire.

Jesus faced His baptism of fire—the religious of His day were full of the devil, as are today’s religious leaders. Knowing full well that He would DIE for the revolution, He faced His mission with joy. He set His face like flint to go to Jerusalem knowing that death awaited Him…He knew it was the will of God. Should we not know this as well? Are we afraid of this baptism of fire? Why are you “Church”-folks AFRAID to “desire the fire”?

The TRUTH stares us in the face unmistakably—IT IS TIME FOR REVOLUTION. If we do not embrace the fire, the same fire will burn us in HELL.

The Problem:

THE BIG PROBLEM IS THIS: running the risk of losing friends / family and making foes is just too great. Well, just who do you love? Jesus did not come to bring PEACE, but the SWORD (Lk. 12:49). This HOLY FIRE is what’s missing, dear cowards—missing in the ministers, in the congregations, in the worship / prayer—at home and abroad. If this Holy Fire was allowed to BURN in today’s churches, no rebel, no sinner, no formalist, backslider, hypocrite, GLBTQ, fornicator, adulterer, liar, thief, drunkard etc. could live and breathe in the presence of Pentecostal fire…tongues of fire…hearts on fire.

Sermon Time!

FORGIVE ME, but it is time for a soap box sermon. What causes one’s FIRE to go out? I believe that the lack of DYING to SELF is the main demon. Colossians chapter 3:1-17 pretty well sorts things out for us. Verse one starts out with: “…SEEK those things which are above, where Christ sitteth…” What KILLS the “desire for the fire” is that we seek those things which are below, earthly, not above, Heavenly. Verse 2 carries this truth thusly: “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Why aren’t today’s ministers preaching this? Because they are IN LOVE with the world!...they have a desire for “strange fire.” Oh!

Now, dare we read verse 5?: “MORTIFY therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication (which includes all heterosexual and homosexual sex sins), uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” These sins deal with the spirit of man, what he / she LOVES to do and think upon. Be warned: “For which things sake the WRATH of God cometh on the children of disobedience” (v. 6).

We’re commanded to MORTIFY such things; an awful word indeed! It means “to make DEAD.If “Christians” allow self to rule and reign God’s fire will eventually go out. And, if we do not allow sanctification to work in our lives, it is impossible for the Holy Ghost fire to burn. Second Thess. 2:13 tells us that “God chose you (us) from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the Truth.” The Greek, “hagiazo,” means “set apart;” the Latin, “sanctus,” means “holy,” and “facio,” means “to make.” So, sanctification is a process by which God makes us holy, and “fire” plays a large part in this process—burning out worldly desires, purifying us. But, who knows this in today’s Church? Very few.

Unless men / women make themselves DEAD, dead to sin, they cannot begin to live…and continue to live according to the Gospel. Old time preachers taught this Biblical Truth with fiery conviction.

The Bible also tells us that we must HATE our own lives in order to LOVE Christ. Jesus explains this in His John 12:25, 26 discourse, “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”

Hating one’s own life points to the attitude that values Heavenly and Spiritual interests far above those of the world. But, why isn’t this being taught today? Guess! We’re taught “have your best life now” junk; we’re taught a narcissistic philosophy, “self is God!”

Jesus makes it plain that if we’re to be His disciples, we’re to DENY SELF, and TAKE UP OUR CROSS, and FOLLOW HIM (Matt. 16:24). Verse 25 gives the consequence of “saving” or “keeping” one’s self-life: we will LOSE it eternally. Why is this not being taught in churches today? Rebellion, dear ones, rebellion.

Burning the Hell Out of You!!!

THIS IS BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY— allowing, yea, desiring the fire to burn the Hell out of us so as not to spend eternity in Hell’s fire.

Jesus used graphic, even crude and hurtful language to get His message across (see Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23 and 14:22; 1 Thes. 3:3; 2 Tim. 3:12). In fact, Jesus tells us that we’ve got to hate (love less) our natural family plus our own life, in order to be His disciple.

If preachers (actually cheerleaders) like Joel Osteen were to teach what Christ taught, he would be up the creek without a paddle.

Let me point out 4 great words found in the New Testament, ones Jesus and His disciples used: “humble” (himself), “deny” (himself), “crucify” (himself), and “mortify” (himself). The WAR against the BIG FOUR has been won long ago by the religious snakes, fakes, and flakes called preachers, teachers, theologians, reverends, priests, evangelists, etc.

Today’s backslid, reprobate ministers are a disgust. Odious and reptilian, hubris and overweening, abysmally hypocritical and recalcitrant, resistant to the Spirit’s and Word’s authority, thus, the people are like-minded.

Friends, those of us who love the Lord have a Herculean task before us—bring the fire back into the Church.

The fact is this: the whole world is PERISHING for want of FIRE!! I truly believe that the world would love to see “Christians” living like Christ. I believe they, in the deep recesses of their darkened hearts, would love to see Jesus in the professors of Christianity. Sure there are those who literally HATE God, Jesus, Christianity, but for most part, I think the world is needy for the same. I believe the world is sick of this Hollywood Churchianity, the money-grabbing vultures, the “Christian” stars” who flaunt their wealth, looks, and weight around. These people are demon possessed—they are filled with false fire, which is an offence and affront to our Holy God and Savior.

Betraying Christ

“GENERAL JIM,” you say, “We’re not betraying Christ!” HA, you’re no better than Judas who had 15 pieces of silver in each hand to betray innocent blood. You crucify our Savior afresh every time you fail to crucify yourself. Every time you fail to deny yourself, you deny Him. Drive the nails in deep, O backslider, you’ll pay in the end.

Fan or Follower?

MIKE CHRISTOPULOS, editor of The Sword out of Brown Deer, WI, ran an article called “Are You just a Fan, or a Follower of Jesus Christ?” (Aug. 2013) by pastor Kyle Idleman (Louisville, KY). Kyle has a pretty good handle on the current situation regarding the state of the Church. He made mention that “fans (“an admirer”) grow tired of trying to maintain an outer appearance that doesn’t match an inner passion.” Idleman deplores the fact that some churches become “fan factories” because they separate the message of “believe” from the message “follow.” Well said. If one cares to check it out, the four gospels contain “believe in Me” = 5 times and “follow me” = 20 times.

One of the greatest reasons for NOT allowing the FIRE to burn is the lack of desire to live godly.

If one desires to do this, one HAS TO DENY the SELF, that Truth-murdering beast that lurks within all of us. “And,” let me finish my thought here, “all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution” (2 Tim. 3:12). Philippians 1:29 states: “For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to BELIEVE in Him, but also to SUFFER for His sake.” And who, pray tell me, wants to suffer for Christ these days?

Suffer? HA! Not today’s comfort-loving churchites. No way! Today’s ministers have set a wrong example before the people by hugging Political Correctness and blessing all the vileness of the world. But what about Luke 6:22? Just when does this happen?

Let’s face the truth here, MOST “Christians” are not following Christ, they merely believe in Him. Well, the devil believes in Christ too!!

Holy Spirit and Fire

IN THIS PORTION of our study, I want to delve into three aspects of the Holy Spirit and Fire:

1.  Symbolic use of fire in the Bible

     A. Old Testament:

1. used to represent God;

2. used to represent protection of God;

3. purification;

4. destruction;

5. judgment.

     B. New Testament:

1. symbol of testing one’s faith;

2. God a consuming fire;

3. tongues of fire;

4. tongue is a fire;

5. ministers of fire;

6. fire of vengeance;

7. world to be destroyed by fire;

8. eternal punishment by fire;

9. Christ’s coming in fire.

2. Double function of symbol

     A. Destroys/purifies:

          1. destroys evil / wickedness;

          2. purifies the obedient.

3. Baptism in fire

     A. Holy Spirit baptism:

          1. the two contrasted;

          2. the two classes.

     B. Jesus the Judge and Savior;

     C. suffering by fire;

     D. judgment of wicked;

     E. punishment in Hell / Lake of Fire.

I’ve already touched on some of the main points, but it will do us good to go S-L-O-W-L-Y over the Scriptures and ponder what they say. We can’t treat His Word like a quick T.V. show, we’ll leave this up to the recreant televangelists—the dolls and guys who have their “personality” fans.

The Holy Spirit (or Ghost)

TOO OFTEN THE HOLY SPIRIT is neglected, but He is mentioned in the Bible at least more than 400 times under 41 different names and titles. He or His works are mentioned in one verse out of every 26 verses in the Bible. Yet, there is so little said or written about the Holy Spirit.

Fire

FIRE IS MENTIONED many, many times in various ways; fire is connected with the Holy Spirit both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. References to the place and work of the Holy Spirit in the life and teachings of Christ are, however, limited; likewise, reference to the “baptism in fire” is even smaller. But this does not indicate that they are not important.

Let’s Study:

1.  THE SYMBOLIC USE OF “FIRE.” Actually, the Bible is a book of symbols and “fire” is one of them (we can use symbol or emblem). The reason it is so is that we can grasp divine thought more fully. This is why Jesus used common, physical symbols, emblems, and illustrations from nature. Early Biblical records use “fire” to represent God. Moses, in Ex. 3:2-5, encountered God in the burning bush, which did not burn up. And in the escape from Egypt, we find God’s protection round about the children of Israel (Ex. 13:21; also Neh. 9:12, 19:

“Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go…Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go;” and Zech. 2:5). Truthfully, we have personally encountered the “fire of protection” in our walk-war- work of God, not a few times.

Purification / Destruction

“AND I WILL BRING the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God” (Zech. 13:9).

“But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness” (Mal. 3:2, 3).

Again, “fire” is used in the Old Testament to signify destruction in Ex. 27:17; Deut. 9:3; Isa. 30:27, “Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire.”

Fire is used as a horrible judgment against those vile (GLBTQ) cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (see our Gay Way series) in the Gen. 19:24, “Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of Heaven.”

Before the above “terrorism” from the LORD God, He, Jehovah, “sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth,” and Egypt was PUNISHED; “so there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation” (Ex. 9:23, 24). Please read the following texts: Deut. 32:22; Ps. 21:9; Isa. 29:6, “Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire”).

The Old Testament is replete with “fire” texts.

New Testament “Fire”

WE’VE ALREADY MENTIONED some of these texts, but for the sake of study, here we go.

“Fire” is used in 1 Cor. 3:13, 15 as a symbol of proving / testing one’s faith; also 1 Peter 1:7, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.” Corinthians is one of the “best for the test.” It proves that one can build his / her whole work upon a non-Jesus Christ foundation…building a wood, hay, stubble work…which will NOT endure the fire of God! Do you really believe that all this Hollywood Churchianity building will stand in the day of judgment?

Heb. 12:29 tells us that, “Our God is a consuming fire” (Gk. katanalisko; from kata, which = mighty; denotes opposition, distribution or intensity).

Acts 2:3 speaks of tongues of fire: “And there appeared unto them (disciples at Pentecost, v. 1) cloven tongues like as of fire…”

Once this “fire” appeared, v. 4 says, “they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (or Spirit), and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

So, the external manifestations—“wind” (v. 2) and “fire” (v. 3) demonstrated that God was present and active in a most powerful way (see Ex. 3:1-6 and 1 Kgs. 18:38, 39). The “fire,” no doubt, symbolized consecrating and separating believers unto God for His glory and for His work (Jn. 16:13, 14) and for witnessing for Him (1:8).

The significance of the “filling” was the beginning (in a larger way) of the fulfillment of Joel 2:28, 29. My wife and I received this Spirit promise shortly after our conversion back in 1971. We received “tongues” and thru the years, we have received all the gifts of the Spirit (working in this ministry) mentioned in 1 Cor. chap. 12 (“spiritual” = Gk. “pneumatika,” derived from “pneuma” (“Spirit”). “Gifts” or “grace gifts” are called Gk. “charismata,” derived from “chavs,” “grace”). It is a shame that churches don’t believe in these gifts today. Even “Spirit filled” churches hardly even practice these gifts. Tongues are mocked by non-Spirit filled “Christians.” I know of many Pentecostal churches that don’t teach on tongues, let alone speak in them.

There is much I could write about here, but I want to keep on the subject of “fire.” The modern Church certainly needs the baptism in the Holy Ghost with all the supernatural and actualized enablements.

We don’t find anywhere else in the New Testament where “fire” accompanied the baptism, but we know that the baptism sets one ablaze inwardly!

Cloven (Gk. “diamerizo”)

THE GREEK VERB for “cloven” means “to divide, separate, distribute,” or in the passive sense, “to be divided,” (see Bauer, Gk.-Eng. Lexicon of New Testament, p. 185). Greek scholar F.F. Bruce says, “The tongues as of fire were distributed among them;” rather than “cloven” (The Acts of the Apostles, p. 81).

Horatio B. Hackett says, “This probably indicates that the fire-like appearance presented itself at first, as it were, in a single body, and then suddenly parted in this direction and that, is that a portion of it rested on each of those present” (Commentary on the Original Text of the Acts of the Apostles, p. 51).

Jeremiah’s Bones!

JEREMIAH 20:9 SAYS, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.” The same Holy Spirit’s inward fire that Jeremiah felt is the same Holy Spirit we have (those of us who have the baptism).

Ezekiel’s Fire

“AND I LOOKED, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire” (Ezk. 1:4). Here we find “a whirlwind” (like “a rushing mighty wind” in Acts 2:2) “and a fire infolding itself” (like “fire” in Acts 2:3). In other studies on “fire,” I’ve shown that both “zeal” and “holiness” are likened unto fire. There is no doubt that one’s fire can GO OUT if the person does not keep his/her lamp supplied with oil (see Matt. 25:1-13). This parable teaches that believers must constantly look to their own spiritual condition in light of Christ’s coming. They, we, must persevere in faith so that when the day and hour arrive they, we, will be received by our heavenly bridegroom. FAILURE to be in a personal, loving, faithful relationship with Him means being excommunicated eternally!

So much for “once saved, always saved”—no such thing (write for our 3 magazine exposing this damnable LIE!).

Here in Matt. 25:3 and 8 speak of “Oil.” This “oil” represents, of course, true faith, righteousness, holiness, which represents the abiding presence of the Holy Ghost (Spirit). Five other parables teach the same lesson of preparedness/perseverance: The sower (Lk. 8:4-15), the goodman (Lk 12:35-40), the steward (Lk. 12:42-48), the tower builder (Lk. 14:28-30), and the savorless salt (Lk. 14:34-35).

Make NO MISTAKE, God’s Word differentiates between the wise and foolish, the diligent, and the sluggard, the good and the bad. We are living in a time when Biblical Christianity has been mixed with other religious and political beliefs. There is no difference between what is Holy and what is Hellish.

Ezekiel minces no words when he denounces Israel’s false prophets and princes. He uses the illustration of fire (Ezek. 22:20, 21) as God’s judgment upon them: “As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you. Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you” (Ezek. 22:20-22).

He pinpoints the problem: CONSPIRACY! (v. 25), the exact SIN that today’s liberal Church is guilty of. Ezekiel finishes up with, “Therefore have I poured out Mine INDIGNATION upon them; I have CONSUMED them with the FIRE of My WRATH: their own way have I RECOMPENSED upon their heads, saith the LORD GOD.” Here we find God as the “consuming fire.”

Tongue of Fire

“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. How great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of Hell” (James 3:5, 6).

Here James emphasizes our inclination to sin in our speaking. Sins of speech = lying (which today’s churchites do without hesitation), exaggeration, teaching / preaching falseness, slandering, gossiping, boasting etc. So, the tongue can be used of the Holy Spirit, or of the devil.

There are those who claim to be “Christian” who allow their tongues to blaspheme God and His Word (Emergent churchite Brian McLaren is a good case-in-point). He deconstructs grace (sola gratia). According to him (and their Emergent lexicon), grace means, “Inclusiveness…God excludes NO ONE from the kingdom.” BIG LIE!

He deconstructs faith (sola fide). To him, faith is “fixing up this dying world, not by and through the finished work of Jesus Christ, but by man’s works, i.e., rearranging the nations of the earth, saving the earth.” Since when did the earth have a soul to save? (One should read Emergent leader Randy Woodley’s “Emergent Manifesto of Hope” to see just how un-Biblical their notions are of grace and Christ Himself — solus Christus.)

When one reads their blasphemous books or published statements, one will quickly see just how REPROBATE their claims are. Their hubris chicanery knows no bounds. They spew forth their anti-Christ verbiage bragging on their synergisms while downgrading God’s ability, e.g., monergism. Their interpretations of God’s Word go way beyond a strict analysis of grammar and word meaning, bringing preconceived theological and doctrinal considerations into the task of exegesis; eisegesis results.

McLaren devotes several chapters in his anti-Christ book, “A Generous Orthodoxy,” to the subject of Christ Jesus. His writings (words on paper) burn with disdain for what Jesus did at the cross. He brazenly demonstrates that he is not a Christian, but a mere religious pagan! He disbelieves that Jesus is God and that Jesus is a male (p. 82). In chapter 4 he asks, “Jesus: Savior of What?” He mocks the cross experience telling us that God’s Word emphatically does not automatically mean “save from Hell,” or, “give eternal life after death” (pp. 83, 84). He boldly denies Christ’s substitutionary atonement for sinners, and places Jesus in the category of a moral example pointing the way in man’s quest to improve society and the environment. This is mere religious “humanism” (see pp. 104-105).

This mocker and scoffer redefines reconciliation, evil, repent, forgiveness.

All in all, the Emergents teach that God’s agenda is to remake and restore all of creation—the “Good News.” This is true to a certain extent, but NOT in ANY WAY they believe and teach. I think 1 Peter 2:6-10 pretty well sums up their position, and ours.

One can see WHY God gets angry. Jeremiah’s words (really God’s) burn away all doubt about such false prophets / teachers / preachers (Jer. 23:16, 17, 21, 22, “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you... But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?”). I can rightly conclude with James 3:5-6 — “Liar, Liar, Tongue on Fire” = Emergent Church!

Minister of Fire

“AND OF THE ANGELS he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire” (Heb. 1:7). It stands to reason that since God is “a consuming fire (Deut. 4:24; Heb. 12:29), His ministers should be “ministers of fire.” Take note, dear ones, when you hear these mealy-mouth preachers of today telling us that God needs us, isn’t angry at the sinner, is crazy about us (as Joyce Millionaire Myers is saying today), that He wants to give us Heaven (no matter if we live like Hell!), be it known unto you these perverters of truth are of the devil.

In God’s jealousy for righteousness and His power to destroy the wicked, He will consume them as fire destroys the stubble—our words spoken under the anointing and inspiration of the Holy Spirit ought to BURN the Hell out of the sinners. But, oh, no, we’ve got glorified “firefighters” putting out the Holy Fire of God.

When was the last time (or even the first!) that your preacher breathed out fire?...their pulpits smelling like brimstone instead of French whore perfume? I’m not referring to the (fallen) Jimmy Swaggart type who could sweat, and preach, and rant, and rave, condemn, and denounce those “sinners” while committing adultery on the side. Oh, he was a fiery preacher, but a false one.

Jesus was a “minister of fire” (see Matt. 13:40-42; Mk. 9:43; Lk. 17:29).

Boy, oh, boy, do we need men and women who are ON FIRE for the Lord. But beware, there is a counterfeit fire, as we can see today…putting on good shows, as if the Holy Spirit blesses sin these days.

Today’s big TV evangelists, mega-church pastors, ecclesiastic reverends, and youth leaders use “false fire.” This is why their congregations / followers look like, smell like, talk like, think like, act like the world—they are OF THE WORLD.

Hey, we’re to “go then and make disciples of all the (worldly) nations…” (Mt. 28:19), not bring the WORLD into the Church. All this “church planting / building / maintaining” stuff is out of order. In the 4 Gospels, 132 contacts that Jesus had with ordinary people are chronicled. Six were in the temple, four in the synagogues, and 122 were out in public—the latter being WHERE THE WORLD WAS AND IS.

I’m not belittling pastoring (shepherding is the correct word), but the Church spends too much time IN church, and not out of it. In doing “church,” we have built both great and small edifices (idols!)“come as you are, stay as you are.” No internal or external change. The “Church” looks just like the “world.” Therefore, our materialistic budgets and church calendars reveal the true story about our complacency.

Most of today’s churches’ money and time are now spent on seeking and serving the “saved” (if this is even possible in modern churches where one merely raises his / her hand and “signs on” to pay, to pay, and to PAY!!). Therefore, pastoral laziness, indifference, and indulgences are the hallmarks of these worldly institutions. And therefore, church maintenance and supplies (the best music equipment one can buy from THE WORLD!) have been substituted for missions. Crank up the loud Rock N Roll music (called “worship”), shake your lazy butts around (also called “worship”), fling your arms in the air (also called “worship”) and “bring down the fire.” Fire? Yes! Fire of lust, greed, sensuality etc. The “ministers of God” tell us that God wants us to be healthy and happy—in fact, Jesus DIED so we could enjoy the sights, sounds, the stuff of Sodom and Gomorrah and Egypt. This is “church.”

World Will End In FIRE!

GOD DESTROYED THE FIRST WORLD by water; ours will end in a fiery destruction, according to 2 Peter 3:10-12, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”

Here, Peter writes about a terrible catastrophe, the first being of water (v. 6); here, of fire (v. 7). (Enoch 83:3-5; Isa. 29:6; 30:30; 34:4; 51:6; 66:15, 16; Dan. 7:9, 10; Joel 2:30, 31; 3:15, 16; Nah. 1:5, 6, and 4:1 should be read).

Peter’s “thief in the night” (v. 10) is also spoken of in Matt. 24:43, 44; Luke 12:39, 40; 1 Thes. 5:2, 4; Rev. 3:3 and 16:15. Second Peter embellishes the primitive emphasis on uncertainty and unexpectedness with vivid details (see 1 Thes. 5:1-11; 2 Thes. 2:1-17).

Consider

VERSE 11 IS a stern warning: “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” (2 Pet. 3:11). The Bible is literally full of WARNINGS, yet, today’s churchites make light of them. We’re warned and commanded to BE ON GUARD and to WATCH and PRAY. Why? Because dear ones, “holiness / godliness” BELONG to the ETERNAL ORDER…now and forever. But, Satan and his demons make sure that man’s attention is occupied with the temporal and transient.

One’s holy conversation (life style v. 11) is the deciding factor between Heaven and Hell. Chapter 1:5-7 specifies such qualities as holiness / godliness.

This earth we NOW live in is literally reserved unto fire (v. 7). It literally contains within it the power by which it can, and will, be burned. The current world is in the custody of a fiery power…waiting to explode (see the reference to God and the consuming fire associated with His coming in Ps. 50:3; Isa. 66:15, 16; Dan. 7:10, 11).

Waiting

2 PETER 3:12 (RSV) READS: “Waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God.” The verb translated “waiting for” (προσδοκάω) describes the direction of the person’s mind. Expectancy, whether hope or fear, or intellectual anticipation, is the mood with reference to the “day of God.” Steadfastness (1:6), not scoffing (v. 3), is the mark of the godly man’s waiting (vv. 2, 8-10).

The verb translated, “hastening” (σπεύδω) means either “to hasten,” or, “to desire with earnestness.” Hastening, Greek scholars think, probably expresses the writer’s thought. Lives of “holiness” and “godliness” are the most universally effective way for hastening the day of the Lord ahead of schedule.

The “coming” (parousia) ordinarily refers to a person; here it refers to, “the day of God.” The day of God is the occasion of Jesus’ second coming. “The day of God” (see Jer. 46:10; Rev. 16:14) is synonymous with the more usual “day of the Lord” (v. 10). This future advent will cause the heavens to be kindled and dissolved—but along with this, we will see new heavens and a new earth (v. 13).

A third world will be the “new world” (see Rev. 21:1). The debate about literal or figurative language is not solved.

Eternal Punishment

YOU CAN REQUEST our Hell series for this subject (see Rev. 14:10 where God’s WRATH is poured out…the damned will be tormented with fire and brimstone [again, the debate about literal or figurative language]… v.11 speaks of their TORMENT for ever and ever).

Verse 10 is (in part) a warning to those who worship the beast (see Jer. 25:15 also). Rev. 21:8 speaks of “the lake that burns with fire…the second death etc.”

Christ Is Coming!

“AND TO YOU who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thes. 1:7, 8).

Are we ready for His coming? There is no doubt that Jesus will say to MOST: “Depart from Me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire…” (Matt. 25:41-46). Second Thessalonians gives us a frightening picture of the near future. That “eternal destruction” means “never-ending.” This “revelation” (revealed in v. 7) is the same event as the parousia, which is mentioned four times in the first letter (2:19; 3:13; 4:15 and 5:23) and twice in this second epistle (1:1, 8).

Paul mentions “vengeance” here in v. 8 and Rom. 12:19 and 2 Cor. 7:11; Romans joins with Hebrews 10:30 in quoting from Deut. 32:35; the verb is also used by Paul in Rom. 12:19 and 2 Cor. 10:6. The idea in both noun and verb is that God acts in justice, giving to the disobedient what they deserve.

Paul uses “destruction” in the sense of one being excluded from the presence of the Lord (v. 9). The Greek word used here (in 2 Thes.) for “destruction” — ὄλεθρος — carries a literal idea in the classical Greek, as distinguished from the word more commonly used in the New Testament — ἀπώλεια — which has a more ethical connotation (write for our two WRATH of GOD magazines [50 pgs. each] in which I explain some of these Greek words that are used).

It is not hard to trace this “revealing”/”revelation,” in part, from the apocalyptic literature of Judaism. The Old Testament speaks of the “manifestation of God in fire” (Ex. 19:18; 24:17; Deut. 4:11-13; Isa. 66:15; Jer. 4:4; 5:14; Ezek. 1:4; 5:4; 8:2; etc., etc.). The “flaming fire” (2 Thes. 1:8) is associated with the “revelation” (as in the RSV Bible), and not with “taking vengeance” (as in the KJV Bible), according to some scholars.

Daniel 10:2-9 should be read, along with Rev. 1:13-16. The “mighty angels” or “angels of His power,” the “flaming fire, the glory of His might” all belong to the tradition of Judaism.

Double Function

“FIRE” SERVES A DOUBLE FUNCTION, as we’ve already seen. It both destroys and purifies, as seen in 1 Cor. 3:10-15. If we refuse the Holy Fire of God to test / prove our works, and we build things OUR WAY, His fire will then destroy our building. This goes for both the saved and non-saved. The sinner’s (as we all were beforehand) sins are forgiven (after confession is made, repentance is made); the sinner turned Christian experiences a purifying and a cleansing of sin when Jesus’ forgiveness is extended. But, this is NOT the END of the process—this is merely the beginning. The new convert must experience many cleansings as he / she presses towards the mark of the high calling in Christ, which is full maturity in Him.

This is where the Church refuses to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. The FALSE teaching of “once saved, always saved” keeps the potential mature Christian from obtaining perfection (Gk. “maturity”). Thusly, the Church (like precious metal) is not purged of its dross. At salvation / conversion, one’s initial committed sins were forgiven, now the fiery process of refinement needs to proceed. But, oh, how these churchites protest God’s dealings. They literally stop what is needed to take place. “Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Thy testimonies” (Ps. 119:119). No doubt the psalmist wrote about the great flood, where water had a double function: destruction of all the wicked, and salvation of Noah and family.

Proverbs 25:4, 5 says: “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth (the material for) a vessel for the silversmith (to work up)” (see also 2 Tim. 2:21). Proverbs continues: “Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness (spiritual and moral rectitude in every area and relation” (Amp. Bible). This “taking away the dross” is a picture of separating the sinner from the righteous and separating the inward wickedness from the redeemed. Every Christian has deep-rooted wickedness within, although Christ lives within also. This is the warfare the New Testament speaks of—the “flesh” wars against the “Spirit” (write for our many teachings on this subject). This inward warfare is something we have to do, the purging / refining is something that the Holy Spirit does.

Become Dross!

THE PROPHET EZEKIEL said of the wickedness of Israel that she had “become dross” and needed to be cast into “the midst of the furnace,” and, “because ye are all become dross, therefore, behold, I (God) will gather you into the midst of the furnace, to blow the FIRE upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in Mine ANGER and in My WRATH, and I will lay you there, and MELT you.” Ezekiel continues: “Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you with the fire of My wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof” (Ezek. 22:18-22).

Just as the smith works to “burn out” the impurities of metals (to produce a superior metal), so the Holy Spirit serves in the same way—to destroy and to purify.

The Word of God, like a sword, has this double function: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Heb. 4:12). This “Word of God” is the Spirit: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God…”(Eph. 6:17). The double function is further seen in that “the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God” (1 Cor. 2:10).

So, the Word and Spirit, the “Sword that Cuts, and the Fire that Burns” has a double office. But “Spirit” and Fire” are not in every instance antithetical and mutually exclusive conceptions, but “fire” represents one phase of the work of the Holy Spirit. However, there are antithetical uses of the symbol of the “baptism of fire” and “baptism of (or in) the Holy Spirit (or Ghost).

John 16:8 and 13 speaks of the Comforter (i.e., Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby = other names) that will CONVICT and CONVINCE the world and bring demonstration to it about SIN and about RIGHTEOUSNESS. This Holy Spirit, e.g., Spirit of Truth (v. 13) will guide us into all Truth. That is, if we will yield our human spirit to His Spirit. But, who will do this these days??

Eph. 6:17 reads: “And take the…sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” This “Sword” is the Holy Spirit / Word and at the same time, our personal weapon to “fight the good fight of faith” (see 2 Tim. 2:4; 1 Tim. 6:12; and 2 Tim. 4:7).

Matt. 3:9-12 / Lk. 3:15-17

WE’VE ALREADY MENTIONED these texts (I have other teachings in writing/CD/DVD). I need to add here that one can be baptized in the Holy Ghost, operate in some, or all, of the “gifts of the Spirit,” but must be on guard not to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. I think, well, I KNOW that some of these PENTECOSTAL / Charismatic “Christians” have gone into this SIN.

Did you know that the first ACT of the Holy Spirit in judgment against His own professing people was to KILL Ananias and Sapphira for LYING to the Holy Ghost (Acts 5:1-11)? After this “fire” article, I will do an article on SINS against the Holy Ghost. This KILLING was done in New Testament times folks, not the Old Testament. So, don’t tell me “God doesn’t judge, He just loves.”

Jesus the Judge and Savior

WE ALL LOVE JOHN 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Here, we are promised eternal life (v. 15), or, everlasting life (v. 16). We know this salvation comes about by the act of the Holy Spirit. God (e.g., the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit) all play their part in man’s salvation. Man also plays his / her part in their very own salvation / redemption. Some believe that monergism (God’s ability only) saves us. Others, like myself, believe that synergism (man’s ability) plays a role in salvation: God’s power and man’s surrender = eternal salvation.

God the Father sent God the Son, the Son sent the Holy Spirit to save men. Eternal or Everlasting life is both qualitative (a spiritual type of life) and quantitative (duration).

In John 9:39 we find out that Jesus is also Judge: “…For judgment I am come into this world…” Not that He wishes to condemn (pass sentence upon (3:17); but to judge a righteous judgment between what is right and wrong.

Hear what Jesus says in John 12:47, “And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.” Is Jesus confused? No. You see, rejection leads to judgment as v. 48 tells us, “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” The Spirit Word as the content of His preaching will be the judge (see Jn. 4:41; 5:24; 8:31, 37, 43, 51; 14:23, 24; 15:3, 20). On the “last day” (see 5:28; 6:39, 40, 44). Jesus does not speak on His own authority (v. 49), but the Father’s (5:30; 6:38; 7:16, 17; 8:26, 28, 38; 10:18; 14:10). God’s commandment, the divine message obediently taught by Jesus, issues in eternal life (v. 50; see also 6:63; 1 Jn. 2:25).

Fire of Suffering

WE’VE ALREADY LOOKED into this, but I want to finish this lesson with those texts found in Matt. 10:34; Lk. 12:49, 50. These texts must be pondered. His Sword will bring fires of suffering…but suffering is all part of the Christian walk. The baptism in the Holy Ghost and the baptism of fire play their role in our lives. The Holy Ghost will give us POWER (Acts 1:5, 8). In v.5 = the preposition “with” is the translation of the Gk. word “en” and is often translated as “in.” Verse 8 is the key in the book of Acts. The primary purpose of the baptism in the Spirit is the receiving of POWER to witness as a Christian. Not only this, but POWER to resist the devil / demons, overcome the world / flesh etc.

“Power” (Gk. “dunamis” = ”dynamite”) means more than physical strength, but spiritual boldness, courage, zeal, etc. Friends, we need the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and in fire. Pray for both. These experiences will also give us an intense desire to please Christ.

DESIRE THE FIRE!!

HEAR THE PROPHETIC WORD OF THE LORD

It’s Time For...

REPENTANCE

REVOLUTION!! #1

     Nov. 19, 2013

I speak unto thee this day, and I say if my own people who are called by my name, will thoroughly repent, by seeing the error of their way, and turn from the wickedness in which they are involved, I say that I the Living God would bring peace, I would bring safety, I would bring strength unto them. I say that it is me the Living God who is well able to bring again the peace of the land if a people will walk in me. That is, if they will indeed renew their consecration, their dedication, unto me, as their God, their maker, and serve me only.

But I say when men have deviated from me, when I say they serve a multitude of other gods, other lovers, then I say they will continually be vexed, tormented, and under anguish in the same. I say that I the Living God am sorely displeased when the ones who claim that they are my people go a whoring from me. That is, when they will choose the gods of the heathen, the ways of darkness, above the way that I ordain.

Now I say you are living in a time when multitudes have strayed from me, they have gone a whoring, they have turned aside. I say in the process of it all, they are sorely displeasing unto me. Now I say this day that I the Living God do not call thee to wander far from me, to live in desolation, to live in separation from me. But I say that I call thee to walk uprightly, coming forth in the truth, the light, the mercy that I provide.

I say that I call thee to keep consecrated, dedicated, separated unto me, ever adhering to my way. I say that it is me the Living God who does give the way that is truth and light, strength and hope, and mercy to the ones who walk uprightly in me. But I say when a people will estrange themselves from me, and go after other gods, other lovers, then I say they pay for the same.

Now I say you are living in a land, you are living in a time when whoredom is found on every way. That is, in the way of transgression against me, in the way of violation, in the way of deviation from the truth. I say that men in their wickedness are seeking for every foul, unclean, and vile thing, then claiming it is all right with me. But I say they are fools who are living in the deception of their own conception, I say they are far from me.

Now I say this day that I the Living God do not call thee to walk far from me, to go in the way of fools, and likewise be overwhelmed in the same. But I say that I call thee to be uplifted in that which I give thee, which is the truth, the light, the mercy, and the peace that I provide. I say when it is me the Living God that you will be seeking to please, to obey, and follow after then you are brought forth in my way. I say you are indeed given the abundance of truth, and light, strength and hope, and the peace that I provide.

I say that it is me the Living God who will indeed be blessing a people who keep themselves for me. That is when the ones who are claiming to be mine will truly walk in consecration unto me, then I say that I bring peace in the land. But I say when the ones who claim they are mine, will stray away, will go in the way of harlots, making unto themselves beds of transgression, then I say that the land suffers for it all.

I say that it is me the Living God who dictates what it is that transpires whether it is good or evil. That is, in the sense that if men will walk uprightly in me, then they will have my blessedness in their lives. But I say when they play the whore, when they deviate, when they transgress against me, they are the ones who pay for the same. Not only they, but others suffer likewise because my own people did not keep their first estate.

I say that it is very important unto me, that my people be proven to be faithful and true unto me. That is that they would be coming forth in the truth, the light, the mercy of who I am, ever uplifted in my way. Now I say this day that I the Living God never called thee to violate me, to transgress against me, to go a whoring from me. But I say that I have called thee to be faithful, to be true, to be seeking to please me in all that you do.

I say when it is me that you seek to please, to obey, and follow after then are you guided in life. Then are you given the truth, the mercy, the strength of who I am, for it is me the Living God who is ever present to give to thee the same.

Now I say this day when you see any one who is boasting and bragging, and strutting, as though they have accomplished some great thing, consider this. Are they exalting me, or are they promoting themselves and their own way? Now I say that I the Living God do not call thee to the promotion of self, not in any of its disguises. But I say that I call thee to be promoting me, for it is me you are meant to please.

Now I say this day when you look upon the vileness, the wickedness, the filthiness that is found in the land, I say it is me the Living God who can indeed reverse the same. That is, if those who are claiming to be mine will genuinely repent, and return unto me then I say that I the Living God will restore righteousness once again. For I say that I can do what is impossible with men, and I say that it is me the Living God who can literally subdue and drive down the enemy forces.

But I say when the ones who are claiming to be mine, will agree with the enemy agenda I say there is no help to be found. Therefore I say this day continue to repent for the sins, continue to cry out for righteousness to be restored, for I say that I hear the ones who are in right standing with me. I say if you will indeed cry out for men to repent, it is me the Living God who is able to cause them to do so. I say the things that men cannot do, I can do! Therefore I say do not look at the circumstance, as though it is not able to be altered, but I say believe in me. I say cry out, cry out, cry out for repentance upon the land, and I the Living God will hear thee when you cry.

For I say if you will indeed seek to walk uprightly, seek to pursue the course of my life, my strength, my mercy, then I the Living God do give my ear unto thee. But I say when a people will harden their hearts, stiffen their necks, and walk afar off from me, then I say their prayers are to no avail. Now I say you are living in a time when pride is abounding on every hand and men and women are taken in the same. That is, they are taken in the transgression of pride, and they love it so.

But I say that I the Living God will give my ear to the ones who cry out for mercy, to the ones who look unto me, and believe me, and trust me, that I am well able. I say when it is me the Living God that you will be giving yourself unto, it is me the Living God who will give my life unto thee. But I say if you choose the way of multiplied transgression against me, then I say you are choosing darkness in the land. That is, you are literally taking yourself far from me, you are steeping yourself in darkness, and your generations likewise.

Now I say this day that I the Living God have intended that men would walk in the light, would love the light, and would be kept in the light. I say that I will indeed give that light when men will repent and cry out unto me.

Now I say this day when I the Living God do bring my light, it will illuminate the darkness and the ugliness, the vileness, the hideous nature of the same. But I say when men are in dimness because of transgression against me, I say they do not even see the hideous transgression of darkness. That is, they simply mutter to themselves, they stumble along, and they do not see clearly at all. I say that it is because they have upon their eyes the blinders that are brought by sin and transgression against me.

But I say when a people will begin to repent, and thoroughly amend their ways, then I say the light will expose the darkness and they will abhor the same. I say no longer will they be in friendship and fellowship with darkness, but I say they will literally hate the same. I say that they will rise up in righteous indignation to drive darkness from the land.

But I say when men are living in the muddle, the fog of transgression, I say they do not see clearly at all. Now I say this day that I the Living God am calling for men to return unto me, to repent of their wicked ways, to put away that which is vile in my eyes. I say that I am calling for the ones who claim they are mine, to see the error of their way, and turn from the wickedness, that they have brought in, by their transgression against me.

Now I say this day do not be defeated nor discouraged, but I say be uplifted in me. That is, be uplifted in the power of my presence, the joy that I provide, unto all who walk uprightly in me. I say be thankful that it is me that you can continue to look to, to believe, to trust, to obey for I am the way of life. Now I say this day that I the Living God do not call any of my people to live in the filthiness of sin, to live under the covering of the same. Nor do I call my people to partake of perversion, as though it were some delectable treat.

But I say that I call my people to walk in the righteousness, the holiness that I desire and require of my own. I say that I call my people to be strengthened, uplifted, directed, and guided always by me. Therefore I say this day do not be quick to go in the way of transgressors, do not be quick to have fellowship with those who are indeed inhabiting the habitations of the damned.

But I say instead be quick to be accepting my truth, and my light that you can indeed be alert and alive with me. That is, do not give up on me because you see evil, you see darkness in the land. But I say all the more cry out unto me in repentance, repenting for the sins, the transgressions of my own people that they can indeed see the error of their way. I say when the righteous will indeed cry out unto me, I say that I hear them when they cry.

But I say when the righteous will give up in despair, and be disgruntled because of the way things are, then where will men turn unto? I say they can do nothing but howl unto the wind for the righteous have lost hope in me. Now I say that the righteous are not meant to lose hope in me, but I say they are meant to keep believing and trusting in me. I say if they will indeed maintain their status as righteous, they will continue to hope in me, to trust in me, and they will not be made ashamed.

But I say when the ones who are meant to be maintaining their hope, their trust, their confidence in me, will turn away, will stray to any other way, then I say that I the Living God am sorely displeased in them. For I say they are not meant to be giving themselves to other gods, other lovers, nor are they meant to be giving themselves to the hopelessness, the despair, the futility that is the cup of fools.

But I say that the righteous are meant to keep themselves in right standing by remaining in consecration, dedication unto me. I say if any man will hope in me, he will not be ashamed for he will see that I do the things impossible with men.

But I say when a man will hope in the arm of flesh, when he will hope in the circumstance, the situation or even the condition in the land, I say that he will give up in despair. I say that he is looking to false gods, other lovers, and I say that he will be found in violation of me. I say that my people are meant to know, understand, and realize that I am the miracle working God, that I can do the impossible, and it is me they are meant to believe.

Now I say this day that I the Living God do intend thee to keep on hoping, to keep on believing, to keep on trusting in me. I say that I do intend thee to look always unto me, and know that I am able. I say when it is me that you will be focused upon, that you will be believing in, you will see that time and again, I always make the way.

But I say if you are looking at the world, at the vanity, at the vexation, at the darkness, I say that you can easily give up in despair. Now I say this day if you will indeed do as I have told thee, that is repent even for the sins of those who should be repenting over their own sins, I say that I will hear thee when you cry. I say that it is me the Living God who will hear the cries of the consecrated, dedicated ones unto me. I say if you will indeed see the error of men’s way, and cry out unto me, that I the Living God will listen unto thee.

But I say if you simply give up in despair and anguish, I say where will the same take thee? I say that it will take thee to the cup of the transgressors whereby you will drink of the same despair, the same futility, the same darkness that they are in. I say this day repent, cry out in repentance, cry out in intercession, and I the Living God will hear thee if you are indeed consecrated unto me.
